We believe that your craft room, like your bedroom, should be a sanctuary. It should also be one of the more creative spaces in your house, since, after all, you’ll be spending your time creating! If you’re in need of a craft room makeover, the video above is perfect for you.

Marianne Canada from HGTV, is showing us how to spruce up our craft spaces without spending a lot of time… and more importantly, a lot of money. To make the room more fun and exciting, Canada decided to go with a cross stitch wall design that she completely did herself.

In order to recreate the look, all you need are pegboards and markers. When it comes to planning the design, Canada suggests sketching it out first on paper, and then using that as a guide when you complete the look by hand.

She decided to go with colorful triangles, which we really love, but there are so many different types of design you can try out. Plus, you can mix any colors that suite your mood.

So the next time you’re in the mood for a semi-makeover for one of your spaces, remember how far a few markers and some pegboard can go!
