The fourth building being celebrated by Archtober is the office of Fab.com. Fab is an e-commerce company that sells everything from furniture to cell phone cases.
Their office is located on the 8th floor of 95 Morton St., which is owned by Brickman Associates. Fab moved to this location a year ago and it is double the size of their previous location at 330 west 38th st. The office is about 46,000 square feet and the ceilings are more than 13 feet tall with skylights. The office was designed by Milo Kleinburg Design Associates, better known as MKDA. Some brands that MKDA has designed spaces for include Springs Global, Marcraft Apparel Group, and HSN.
Some of the features of Fab’s office include a centrally located 625 square feet cafe, a boardroom that seats 50 people, and work area seating for the flash sale website’s 200 employees. The space also has a model apartment used for staging furniture and other various household items. The company has recently concentrated itself in New York, downsizing its Berlin office. This company is known for its stylish offices and even its last location was way more chic then your average tech website office.
MKDA’s official website describes the office by explaining the following:
The office design for design-oriented flash sale site Fab.com meets the firm’s operational needs thro, ugh the development of efficient floor plans and distinct work areas, but is also brought to life with nods to Fab’s playful yet professional corporate culture.
