If you haven’t been watching Bob’s Burgers on FOX, then boy, have you been missing out.
The series revolves around the lives of the Belcher family and their Burger Joint, operated by Bob Belcher (the father) and Linda Belcher (the mom), but of course with the help of their rambunctious (and even sometimes socially awkward) kids Tina, Gene, and Louise.
While the show had admittedly gotten off to a slow start, it goes without saying that it has built up a cult-following of sorts. With images and GIFs of the public’s favorite characters from the show (*cough*Tina*cough*) circulating the web and viral-friendly platforms such as tumblr, facebook, and twitter, it’s safe to say that Bob’s Burgers is officially (or at least almost officially) up there with the top “adult humor” television cartoon shows such as Family Guy, American Dad, and The Simpsons.
For us nerdy folk who enjoy and even find comfort in the awkward humor typical of the show, there is now more to be excited about than just the new season. Straight from the producers, the Bob’s Burgers comic book is now no longer a fantasy, but instead a reality.
Now you can read about the Belcher family in these perfectly illustrated and brand new stories which are created by the show’s producers, writers, and animators themselves. Writers include Rachel Hastings, Mike Olsen, Justin Hook, and Jeff Drake, and artists include Frank Forte, Brad Rader, Bernard Derriman, and Tony Gennaro.
Of course, what would these comic books be without hilarious installments of “Louises’ Unsolved Mysteries”, “Tina’s Erotic Friend Fiction”, “A Gene Belcher Original Musical”, “Letters Written by Linda” and our personal favorite, “Bob’s Burgers of the Day”. If you watch the animated sitcom, you know just how much you have to look forward to – and most of it consists of endless laughter.
Naturally, with the show’s incredible popularity, the first installment of the comic book series has already sold out, but may we suggest keeping a close eye on the next issue and snatching yourself a copy before it’s too late?
