Mason jars have become one of the hottest trends in the DIY world. Not only are they super inexpensive, but they are also really versatile, making them a must-have in any home.
You can use them as flower vases, food containers, candle holders — the possibilities are endless. And as cute as they are on their own, if you want to add some personal touches to your jars, look no further than these mason jar ideas in the video above.
Karen Kavett from HGTV Homemade is showing us three totally new ways to decorate mason jars. The first way is pretty genius. All you need is a balloon in your favorite color! Simply cut off the top of the balloon and place the rest of it over the bottom of the mason jar. You’ll get a really cool paint-dip look without any mess.
Next up, Kavett has come up with a super simple sew idea that will allow you to label your jars in a cute way. All you have to do is cut out some patterned card stock, cut around the lid of the jar and place it securely in the jar. Then, take some letter beads and sew them into the paper.
Finally, the last and coolest idea, is to use chalkboard paint. Start by painting the smooth side of your mason jar with the chalkboard paint, allow it to dry, and simply use chalk to write whatever you want!
