There are so many things you can DIY in your house. Most of the time the do-it-yourself projects are for smaller items, however, we think it’s time you go BIG.

In the video above from HGTV, you will learn how to make a DIY coffee table using PVC fittings and dowels. Not only is this project super chic, but it’s also super inexpensive.

For this project, you will need: a saw and mister box, dark walnut stain, a tape measure, a pencil, PVC T’s, contact cement, lime green spray paint, a rag, vinyl bumpers, a paint brush, a sanding block, contact cement, and wood dowels. It seems like a lot, but trust us, it’s very doable.

To get started, you’ll cut your dowels. Next, you’ll use the sanding block to smooth the dowels. Then, you’ll stain them with the finish of your desire. After, you’ll use the spray paint to color the PVC T’s. You don’t have to go with lime green, but it’s definitely a cool choice.

Then it’s time to assemble. Once you put together the dowels and T’s, you’ll will add the vinyl bumpers to the bottoms and tops of the dowels. Finally, you’ll place your glass on top, and that’s all!

Again, it seems like a lot of work, but this DIY project is actually very simple. Watch the video above for the full how-to tutorial.

Will you give this DIY coffee table a try?
