On Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 56-year-old comedienne filled her audience, both on set and at home, with uncontrollable laughter when she shared her hysterical spoof of one of Matthew McConaughey’s intense Lincoln car commercials. Naturally, hilarity ensued as Ellen took a backseat in McConaughey’s brand new Lincoln MKC, making the best jokes and comments to play along with the script.

First, she played the real commercial shown on TV, in which Matthew McConaughey channels his True Detective character, Rust Cohle, and stares down the bull who he refers to as “Ol Cyrus.”
“I have so many questions,” Ellen told her audience when the first clip was finished. “But my biggest question is I don’t know why they cut me out of it. That’s my biggest question. I was in the original version and I think it made more sense when I was in it.”
The Emmy-Award winning host then shared her version, which was, of course, full of jokes and puns, along with some pot-brownie references.
“Hey, whatever you put in these brownies, I don’t know what they are, but boy they are delicious,” she jokes. “Maybe we should ask him to moo-ve, mooooo-ve, moooooo-ve it along.” “Hey, if we’re in his way, maybe he should use his horns,” she laughs while saying.
After a few more hilarious puns DeGeneres continues by mocking McConaughey’s mannerisms before telling the handsome actor that the “guitar music is weird” then proceeds to change the radio station and begins a dance party in the backseat to Lil’ Jon’s “Turn Down for What.”
The two then drive off into the other direction as Ellen shouts, “Pass me another brownie!”
Ellen, we absolutely agree. The “original” version of this commercial is just so much better with you starring in it. Now we understand why McConaughey was asking all of those questions, when at first we thought he was talking to the bull. How silly of us!
