It’s really hard in urban settings to bring some green into your life, especially if you’re in a tiny apartment in Manhattan with no access to sunlight (trust me, I’ve been there). IKEA, the budget household conglomerate, has come up with a solution to all our urban gardening problems! Enter the IKEA SOCKER Greenhouse, a mini greenhouse for the urban dweller with a green thumb.
This mini greenhouse is a great solution for those with a limited space, though if you’re a little more than a gardening enthusiast, you may need more than one.
According to Emma Hutchings of psfk:
Providing the perfect environment for growing flowers, vegetables or herbs, the mini greenhouse opens at the top to allow you to place and water your plants. It’s roof vents can be set in a halfway-open position to allow the air to circulate and the temperature to cool if it gets too hot inside.
Product dimensions are 17.75″ W x 8.75″ D x 13.75″ H — for some context, a standard 4-person dining table is about 36″ at the thinnest. As all IKEA products go, it does require some assembly. But for a mere $20 (only at your local IKEA), it’s a great solution to liven up your living space!
Would you purchase the IKEA SOCKER Greenhouse?
