Broadway’s most beloved Stephen Sondheim musical, ‘Into the Woods’ is making its way to the big screen this winter, and it’s got the hottest A-list cast. This musical tale is about a childless Baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who attempt to lift a witch’s curse by traveling into an enchanted forest filled with the classic Disney characters like Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy).
Director Rob Marshall has assembled this cast and his very own creative team to produce his own adaptation of the 1987 Disney fairy tale. It is definitely not like any other Disney film we’ve seen before!

In this week’s Entertainment Weekly viewers are given an exclusive look at four unique front covers that are designed with the inspiration of ‘Into the Woods.’ Each cover features a pair of characters set in the dark, sprawling world of the film as they are shown in the dim, eerie woods. Spooky!
“I didn’t want this to look like a cartoon world,” says Marshall. “It’s not sunny, sunny, sunny; we wanted a sense of danger.”

These front covers are amazing and have definitely excited us for the upcoming film and all its adventures; dark colors that are mysterious yet alluring, and they are set in no place other than the woods – it is a perfect reminder for viewers and readers to set their calendars for the premiere on December 25, 2014.
Not to mention, yet again, that this cast is definitely incredible. I mean, Johnny Depp as the big bad Wolf and Meryl Streep as the Witch? Wow, two amazing actors.
