LOLI breaks down ingredients for skin, hair, and body care to their original sources, even removing unnecessary packaging in the process. They gather recipes for beauty routines from around the world, then find fresh, natural ingredients that are hand-sourced by responsible vendors to be wrapped up in exquisite boxes for beauty-blenders to whip up at home.

The carefully curated, pre-measured ingredients paired with step-by-step instructional cards are delivered directly to customers for them to blend their own wellness treatments. In doing so, LOLI helps subscribers have fun while creating their own natural, luxury beauty kitchens.

loli beautyAn “Island girl at heart with a global sensibility,” Hedges was on a mission to launch a kitchen for beauty-crafting, in which a community of beauty enthusiasts can discover and share their favorite natural ingredients and rituals at home and online.

“Coming from a Caribbean and Latin background, I grew up seeing beauty made in the kitchen. My mother and grandmother also used to tell me stories about how in Cuba they made their own deodorant, face masks and fragrances,” says Hedges.

loli beautyThe boxes have a different focus each month, such as face, body, hair, or bath. LOLI’s customizable recipes come with instructions for creating your own series of treatments with seasonal, neatly packaged ingredients. The kits have walked subscribers through the process of hand-mixing an assortment of indulgent wellness treatments, such as a brightening makeup remover and cleanser, exfoliating face scrub, brown sugar and coffee body scrub, Himalayan bath salt soak, gentle shampoo, and rejuvenating face mask. You can even personalize your own treatments by mixing and matching the ingredients, so the ingredients from each month’s box can have multiple uses and benefits.

“Many of the ingredients we send you are also good-to-use just as they are and we give you quick tips on how to mix or apply as is to make everything from a face oil to a hair conditioning pack,” says Hedges.
