Fitness bands have never been cutting-edge fashion accessories. But crystal purveyor Swarovski and Misfit, the maker of smart wearables and smart technology for the home, have transformed the bland health bands into something quite chic. Their newly unveiled Swarovski Shine Collection showcases some of the most fashionable, wearable health gadgets on the market today.
The collection combines Swarovski’s crystal jewelry and Misfit’s activity and sleep tracking technology in two new wearable products and nine accessories, jointly designed by both companies. Two new, fully waterproof wearables: a clear Swarovski Shine with a brilliant crystal face and a violet, solar-powered Swarovski Shine crystal.
The violet Swarovski Shine bracelet with integrated solar charging eliminates the need to charge or replace batteries! A first for Misfit and activity/sleep trackers in general, it features a patented “energy crystal” technology to power itself. The other Misfit Shine devices rely on a coin battery that needs to be replaced about every six months.
The line’s centerpiece crystals measure your steps, distance walked, calories burned, and sleep quality. You can sync it wirelessly with the smartphone app, and it’s all compatible with Misfit’s original Shine fitness and sleep monitors.
The collection includes nine interchangeable accessories, so you can swap out your crystal for different looks. It includes the “Slake” bracelet and the “Vio” pendant, which are designed to accompany you throughout the day and into the night for all sorts of occasions. The available sets also include a white or black silicone sport band, which boasts 50-meter waterproof resistance.
Prices for the starter sets range from $169.00 to $249.99, and the nine accessories themselves range from $69.99 to $149.99. You can pre-order from the Swarovski Shine Collection today, and the fashionable devices will also be available in Swarovski stores this spring. Who couldn’t use a little bling for her fitness routine?
