The internet is a-buzzing about the new iPad mini, but we don’t think that was the shining star of Apple’s introduction today. We actually think that Apple’s new 2012 iMac model stole the show! Our Tech Tuesday feature is the newest upgrade to Apple’s desktop series, and after 3 years, it’s long overdue. What is so remarkable about this new model? Easy, how unbelievably thin it is! The edge is only 5mm thin. That’s thinner than any of the other iPhones and iPads. This sleek design has got us digging into our bank accounts to snatch it up come December.
What are the other drool worthy features of our newly favorite tech toy?
- Volume: takes up 40% less space
- Screen has 75% less reflection
- Base model now gets a 2.7Ghz quad-core i5 processor
- New standard: 8 GB Ram, 1TB hard drive, 4 USB ports are now USB 2.0, 2 Thunderbolt ports, SD card reader
- Better stereo speakers
We find it very interesting that the new all-in-one desktop will not be including an optical drive, which shows where our future is going in terms of CDs and DVDs.
25.1-inch display starts at $1299 and comes to stores in November. If you want the 27-inch display, you’ll have to wait until December for this $1799 iMac!
Will you be getting yourself a 2012 iMac from Apple?
